Calculate Rate & PremiumClass code 4282 is used for employees that work in various positions within a facility that manufactures dress, coat, shoe, or boot patterns made of paper. This would include designers, cutters, and drafting specialists as well as those employed in positions that make the actual product. Materials that are commonly used within the scope of this class code include drafting paper, tissue paper, cardboard or fiberboard, printing ink, sheet metal, and envelopes, received from others. Once the drawing and design work has been completed, a cutting and transferring must be done to master templates made of cardboard (for dresses/coats) or sheet metal (for shoe/boots). These templates will then be used as the example for cutting and printing the actual patterns. For shoe and boot patterns, thin strips of copper or brass are also cut and crimped around the edges of certain parts. Once finished, these patterns will be inspected, folded, and put into envelopes to be distributed.
Finally, class code 4282 also includes those employees that work within a facility that manufactures music rolls. Nearly all materials used (such as rolls of paper, metal rings, cardboard cores, metal/composition ends, labels, inks, and boxes) are received from others. To make these products, musical selections are played upon a piano where marks are made on a roll of paper with pencils to indicate the pattern of the composition. This master template is then inspected for errors, corrected as needed, and then fed into a machine that duplicates it. Products are then assembled using rings, hand wound, packaged, and machine labeled.
