Class Code 2105 Rates & Quotes

Fruit Packing

Class code 2105 is used for employees that work in a fruit packing facility. These operations will typically purchase bulk fruit crops from farmers and then collect the fruit during harvest and bring it to a location where it is sorted, graded, packed, and prepared for transport to market. In some cases, employees may engage in activities that are related to vegetable packing as well as fruit packing, and in these instances may be classified to both codes as long as the requirements of the Basic Manual are met. Operations that are excluded from class code 2105 would be wholesale fruit dealers, retail stores that sell fruit goods, and canning or preserving facilities.
