Manufactured, Modular, or Prefab Home Manufacturing – Shop Work

Class code 2797 is used for employees that do shop work in a facility that builds manufactured, modular, or prefabricated homes. Products included in this classification must be non-motorized, and may be used for homes as well as commercial type buildings. In addition, pickup truck camper shells and semi truck sleepers are also included. Structures may be made with wood or metal framing studs and work is done at a factory site. Class code 2797 is an all inclusive code that includes a variety of employees, including drivers that deliver the products to the customer’s site.

Exclusions from this classification that are similar in nature would include outside trucking companies that perform delivers on a contract basis, employees that participate in the setup, hookup, installation, or finish work at a job site, and operations that manufacture masonry or concrete modular buildings.
