Class Code 3383 Rates & Quotes

Jewelry Manufacturing

Class code 3383 is used for employees that perform work within a facility that manufactures jewelry, such as rings, bracelets, and earrings. The materials used (such as metals, stones, plating solutions, enamels, and lacquers) will be received from others and then used to produce various types and styles of jewelry. Because of the nature of the manufacturing process, operations that involve melting, pouring, and rolling of metal may be done, as well as blanking, forming, drilling, assembling, buffing, and polishing procedures.

Other areas of manufacturing that may be included within this classification will be gold leaf, silverware, watchcase, and metal musical instrument manufacturing, not otherwise classified. Examples of instruments included within the scope of this class code are French horns, trombones, cornets, and bass horns. Wooden musical instruments and non-musical instruments used for professional or scientific purposes, however, would be excluded. While the operations to make each of these will vary, they will require similar machinery and raw materials. Since this is a NOC class code, there may be other products that could be included as well.
