Class Code 3629 Rates & Quotes

Precision Machined Parts Manufacturing NOC

Class code 3629 is used for employees that work in the precision machined parts manufacturing industry, not otherwise classified. To qualify, no less than 50% of all operations performed by the employee shall be held to final tolerances of .001 inches or closer. This classification is also only to be applied for precision machined parts manufacturing, and would exclude precision machine manufacturing. Because this is a NOC classification, it may include other products, not otherwise classified. Generally speaking, though, most employees engaging in work under this classification will be subject to inspection and quality control work.

Some related manufacturing work that is excluded from class code 3629 and that would need to be classified separately includes such things as ball or roller bearings, fuel injection devices, electrical apparatuses, gears, hardware, metal goods, nuts/bolts, plumbers supplies, screws, springs, tools, valves, and wire goods. Those employees operating within a machine shop would also be excluded.
