Contractors that work within this classification will perform a variety of specialty work, including excavation, concrete work, steel erection, carpentry, plumbing, pipe covering, millwright activities, etc. When classifying workers to this class code, it is important to follow the extra-territorial classification guidelines for each worker to ensure that they are properly classified.
Any work done to a structure that is considered incidental, but not integral, to an oil refinery operation or distillation unit should not be listed under this classification. Examples of these structures include warehouses, office buildings, storage tanks, power plants, or chimneys. Additionally, pile driving should also be separately classified as well.
