Class code 4111 is used for employees that work within a glassware manufacturing facility that does not use automatic blowing machines. All work must be done using a mouth-blowing process, a semiautomatic blowing process, or some combination of the two. Examples of raw materials received from others that are commonly used include lime, silica sand, phosphate, crushed glass, antimony oxide, borax, soda ash, arsenic trioxide, silica, and silica fluorides. A typical process includes the materials being fed into a furnace for heating, then placing the molten glass into molds or forming by mouth blowing into the shape required, and finally slow cooling until very hard.

While this classification will have countless products that are produced within the scope, some of the more common examples include cups, plates, saucers, glasses, pyroglass bake ware, candlestick holders, perfume bottles, molded glass doorknobs, kerosene lamp chimneys, glass radio insulators, auto headlight lenses, paperweights, and ashtrays. Optical goods and electronic chips made from quartz, however, would be excluded from this class code.
