Class code 4484 is used for employees that work within a facility that manufactures molded plastic products, not otherwise classified. These products may be made using various, non-chemical, processes, such as injection or compression molding, as well as all die making and machining, finishing, assembling, and forming operations that may be required. Raw materials are received from others and will generally be in the form of powders, granules, pellets, and liquids. Machinery, tools, and equipment used within this classification will usually include, but is not limited to, mold cavities, low or high pressure hydraulic devices, hoppers, hydraulic rams, heating chambers, and laminating materials and machinery. In addition, class code 4484 also includes the manufacture or assembly of plastic dolls or doll parts, fiberglass items (such as bottles, doors, fish tanks, pools, or tubs), metal parts from powdered metals (not otherwise classified), and all types of non-metal buttons.

Other similar areas that are excluded from class code 4484 and that should be separately rated include the manufacturing of leather goods, plastic bags, computerized plastic signs, vinyl bags, vinyl shoes, vinyl gloves, metal buttons, fabricated plastic products, and any plastic product that is manufactured using a chemical process.
