Class code 5191 is used for employees that do installation, inspection, adjustment, or repair work of office machinery like calculators, copy machines, computers, modems, printers, fax machines, postage machines, typewriters, microfilm equipment, cash registers, and counter-type scales. All work within this classification is to be done at the customer’s site and not the insured’s shop to qualify. Employees working within the scope of this class code may engage in operations such as troubleshooting, assembling and disassembling equipment, replacing necessary parts, cleaning equipment, general maintenance duties, and dead wiring work. Piano tuning and work done to X-ray equipment, done at the customer’s site, is also allowable under class code 5191.

Installation and repair work relating to appliances, meat slicers, grinders, office furniture, fixtures, and any work done within the insured’s shop location is excluded and should be classified separately. Drivers who only deliver products would also be excluded.
