Floor Installation: Carpet, Linoleum, Vinyl or Rubber Tile

Class code 5478 is used for employees that install resilient floor coverings, carpet, or laminate. Examples of flooring products that are considered “resilient” and which are included within the scope of this class code are vinyl, linoleum, asphalt, or rubber tiles and sheets. Additionally, the installation of artificial turf to patios is also included. Exclusions to this class code would be those who install indoor stone, ceramic or mosaic tile, and wood flooring. In addition, the installation of artificial turf installation that intends to replace natural turf (such as on athletic fields) would also be excluded and classified separately.
