Class code 6504 is used for employees that manufacture food products, not otherwise classified. This classification applies to a variety of products, including things such as catsup/ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, tarter sauce, salad dressings, chili con carne, spaghetti, tomato sauce, peanut butter, and malted milk. Class code 6504 is also used for those involved in food dehydrating operations (such as dehydrating coffee or tea) as well as the manufacturing of imitation dairy products like creams, whipped toppings, or sour creams.

Related operations which should be excluded and classified separately include the manufacturing of baking powder, cereals, candies, pasta or noodles, ice cream, meat products, milk products, pickles, and potato chips. In addition, creameries, dairies, packing houses, bakeries, and fruit evaporating, preserving, and packing operations are also excluded.
