Class code 8002 is used for employees that work for an automobile or truck rental company, including counter personnel and drivers. Work duties include, but are not limited to, things like assigning vehicles to customers, completing rental agreements, collecting payment, collecting credit forms, and minimal driving as required. Rental company locations may be traditional, as well as at airports, train stations, or bus stations.

This class code is not an all-inclusive listing of the automobile rental industry, though, and some employees will be separately classified. These positions include garage employees, dispatchers, employees that meet the eligibility requirements for clerical office workers, parts department workers, and service writers that are exposed to shop operations.
