Class code 8264 is used for employees that work for a used bottle or material dealer, including drivers. These merchants can either be involved in a bottle or can recycle operation, or may simply receive secondhand materials from others. Examples of the most commonly found materials include bottles, paper stock, rags, and rubber. Job duties that employees may engage in include such things as collecting materials by truck, unloading and sorting materials, washing, racking, and crating bottles, shredding, cutting, and bailing paper stock or rubber, and stripping, trimming, washing, bailing, or packing rags. Any employee that works within a manufacturing facility would be excluded.

Additionally, operations that shred documents or destroy documents for others are also included in this classification. These employees will generally travel to the customer’s location, collect the documents to be abolished, and then use machinery to complete the task on site. Operations that are excluded from class code 8264 include those businesses that exclusively collect and haul shredded documents to a disposal site.
