Class code 9102 is used for employees that do work in the area of lawn maintenance, both commercial and residential. Typical job duties included are grass cutting, weed control, lawn and shrub spraying, tree pruning (when performed from the ground), raking, applying liquid or granular fertilizers, thatching, and aerating.

While this class code is generally limited to maintaining an existing landscape, the planting of a few new flowers, replacing dead or diseased shrubs, and adding decorative rock or brick edging may also be included. If the majority of one’s work is related to installation of new landscape, then this employee would be excluded.
